Florentina Gaspar Gaspar, age 27, returns from chopping firewood in the mountains with her youngest of five children. Florentina will try to sell the wood in the market, a dangerous two-hour drive down the mountain. Failing that, she will barter the wood for food and clothing for her children. Florentina's husband left for the United States eight days before this photo was made in hopes of earning money to send to his family.
