TACLOBAN, LEYTE - APRIL 24: Children play in an area destroyed by Typhoon Haiyan (aka Yolanda) now called "Yolanda Village" in Tacloban, Philippines on April 24, 2014. The neighborhood bordering the bay was flattened by five large ocean liners washed onto shore. Many corpses were found in this area and are still said to be trapped under the boats. The official reported number of deceased is 8000 while the unofficial number reported by relief workers on the ground is closer to 20,000. The ocean surged 15 meters and winds sustained 235 kmh. 16 million people are said to have lost their homes. Nearly six months later people are slowly gathering materials to rebuild.
