Disaster Midwife
DULAG, LEYTE - APRIL 29: Head midwife and founder Robin Lim enters Bumi Wadah birth clinic which was established in response to Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda) in a destroyed elementary school along a main road in Dulag, Leyte on April 21, 2014. The clinic is the only place women can receive free, clean, and open 24/7 medical care and birthing services. The women also receive pre-natal care, pre-natal vitamins and a free ambulance ride home after delivery. Around 100 babies a month are born at the clinic since the typhoon. During a morning staff meeting head midwife Robin Lim tells the staff "No other group of midwives are dealing with this many deliveries in a disaster zone.
